Member Services
Social Service Organization
A & N Electric Cooperative works with the Eastern Shore Agency
on Aging, the Community Action Agency, the Department of Social
Services for Accomack and Northampton Counties in Virginia and
Somerset County in Maryland, the local Light House Ministries
and local churches and civic organizations to help the elderly,
handicapped, and low income households needing help paying their
bills.
Life-Sustaining Equipment
A & N Electric Cooperative maintains a file on home-bound
consumers who need electricity to operate health-related equipment
and makes an effort to restore service to these households promptly
in case of outages.
If you or anyone in your household relies on equipment, such as
kidney machines, heart monitors, or oxygen tanks, a medical certification
from a physician must be on file at the Cooperative office. Knowing
the whereabouts of people with special health problems helps us
pay particular attention to their needs.
Budget Billing
Budget Billing is available to ANEC consumers who have abnormally
high usage for certain periods of the year. Requirements include,
but are not limited to, being at their present location for the
past twelve months and having established good credit with the
cooperative. Also, meter readings must be furnished by the 20th
of each month if your meter is not presently being read by ANEC
personnel.
If you are interested in Budget Billing, please contact the cooperative
office. Our personnel will be glad to review your account for
consideration.
